Betty J. Slade
Spencer Whiteout, film director and podcaster, spent the month of December 2024 writing a screenplay for my novel, Taming Wild Hearts. We spoke each week about his ideas and mine. It was fun collaborating with my grandson. I learned so much in scaling 70,000 words on a page to 18,000 words or less for screen. His creative mind took the story to places that made it more intriguing. It’s a winner.
Join Spencer and me on February 24th at the WCCWN Monday morning weekly meeting at 9:00 MST. If anyone would like to learn about turning a novel into a script, please e-mail me at bettyslade.author@gmail.
I will send details. If you attend in person or on ZOOM, you are welcome. We would love for you to be a part of this hour session. We will discuss how to eliminate characters, scenes, and other important factors to make a film move faster and be more exciting. What does a Screenwriter needs from an author? Attend the meeting to find out. We will have a question and answer time.
